Because basically you learn best through practise! - This book is meant to be used in conjunction with the Hammer s German Grammar and it s usage third edition (though it could probably be used with other editions, i don t know how they differ). As with the Hammer s grammar, it s not for beginners, but it is an essential if you are studying German at a higher level. I used throughout my degree and found it invaluable then, but it might even help A-level students. There are spaces to fill in your answers, but I preferred to write them on a seperate piece of paper, so that i could always try the exercises again. If you re not sure, rather than go straight to the answers, there is always a reference to Hammer s so that you can check the rule again.
